Starting Kindergarten is a big milestone for both students and families. At Apache Junction Unified School District, we make it joyful, welcoming, and smooth. Our Kindergarten programs are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and create a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Kindergarten FAQ

Children must turn 5 years old on or before August 31 of the upcoming school year to enroll in Kindergarten.

Looking for something earlier? Check out our Preschool & Early Learning Center for 3- and 4-year-olds!

Visit The Early Learning Center website or contact TLC Facilitator, Alexis Scott at (480) 677-7570 for more info!

 

Kindergarten registration for the 2024–2025 school year is now open!

Step 1: Click here and visit our AJUSD Enrollment Page
Step 2: Submit required documents (birth certificate, proof of address, immunization records)
Step 3: Select your preferred elementary school
Step 4: We’ll be in touch with next steps and orientation dates!

 

Use our School Boundary Map or call us at (480) 982-1110, and we’ll help you find your neighborhood school, or another AJUSD campus that best fits your family.

 

 

Bus service is available for students who live outside the walk zone. We’ve also expanded routes to support school choice, call (480) 982-1110 for more details!
