Update on EVIT Negotiations

AJUSD is pleased to share a positive update regarding the ongoing discussions between AJUSD, the other eight EVIT member districts, and EVIT.
The nine member districts have submitted a final proposed agreement that we believe provides a clear path forward for the 2026-2027 school year. The proposal is intended to bring stability for students and families while allowing everyone to focus on what matters most: a successful school year.
The agreement would allow students to continue participating in the outstanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs they have chosen while establishing clear expectations that support reliable transportation, student safety, and a strong educational experience.
Throughout these discussions, AJUSD's priority has remained unchanged: doing what is best for students. We are optimistic that this proposal will lead to a timely resolution and provide the certainty our students and families deserve as the school year gets underway.
We appreciate the patience, understanding, and support our families have shown throughout this process. We remain hopeful that EVIT will accept this reasonable proposal so everyone can move forward with confidence and keep the focus where it belongs, on student learning and success.
