BACKGROUND:
The Apache Junction Unified School District, #43 issued RFP 23-24-29 Science Adoption K – 12 on May 1, 2023. The documents were available for download at www.azpurchasing.org. Sealed proposals were due May 31, 2023, at 2:00pm (Mountain Standard Time) at AJUSD Business Office 1575 W. Southern Ave. Apache Junction, AZ 85120. Eight (8) vendors solicited their proposals and the evaluation committee selected two (2) vendors to move forward to Phase 2. The requirements were based on technical and cost evaluation.

Phase 2 of the evaluations will be a 20 – 30-minute presentation to our Governing Board, evaluation committee, and community. Houghton Mifflin will be presenting from 4:30 pm to 5:00 p.m. and then Discovery Education will be presenting from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.

RECOMMENDATION:
The goal is to evaluate both vendors for our Science Adoption K – 12 for the school district. We would like to award just one vendor for this new curriculum.
