AJUSD Holiday Performing Arts Festival

Apache Junction Unified School District is hosting the Apache Junction High School Holiday Festival Dec. 19, a celebration of joy and merriment for the whole community.

The event is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the AJHS Performing Arts Center, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive, according to a release.

The evening begins with an opportunity for families to take photos with Santa Claus from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be free arts and crafts activities tailored for elementary school-aged children.

The entertainment lineup includes live performances by AJHS students. At 6 p.m., Strings will present “The Grinch Who Hated Music.” Following that, at 7 p.m. Drama Club will perform “A Christmas Scarol,” a unique twist on a classic tale.

AJUSD Superintendent Dr. Robert Pappalardo expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “The AJHS Holiday Festival is a wonderful occasion for our community to come together and celebrate the spirit of the season. It’s an event that showcases the incredible talents of our students and creates unity among families.”

General admission to the festival is $5 per person. Pizza, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.
