I have had the pleasure of teaching 7th grade Science for AJUSD since 2009- I have truly found my niche teaching 7th grade! Before joining AJUSD, I taught 9th-12th grade Earth Science, Biology, General Science, Photography, Geology, Oceanography and Culinary Arts. It's hard to believe that I have been teaching for 17 years now. Time sure does fly!Education is very important to me. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Earth Science from Northern Arizona University in December 2000, then went on to earn my Masters of Secondary Education, also from NAU, in May 2003. I enjoy learning new ways to teach my students and am constantly looking for new ideas. My hope is that my love for learning will ignite my students into being the best learners they can be!When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my three children as well as my husband, family and friends. I love being creative through photography, cooking, and being crafty. I also enjoy traveling, music and theatre, especially Broadway musicals.I thank you for the opportunity to work with your student and I look forward to watching them grow as the year progresses!
Never regard study as a duty, but as the enviable opportunity to learn to know the liberating influence of beauty in the realm of the spirit for your own personal joy and to the profit of the community to which your later work belongs. ~Albert Einstein
