Dear Families, 

                    I am so excited to get the 2020-2021 school year of to a start. I know it is so much different than we are used to, but we can still rock our year! My name is Amy Morton. I am one of the third grade teacher's at Desert Vista Elementary. This is my sixth year teaching and my fifth year in third grade. I served in The United States Air Force as a medic for 10 years. While serving I have travelled overseas and obtained a B.A. in English Literature and Language. After I separated from the military I received a M.Ed from Grand Canyon University. I have four boys of my own 15, 13, and two 8 year olds. I am an Apache Junction High School Alumni class of 2002. I grew up in Apache Junction and moved back after my military service. I live in the community and you will see me actively out and about around town with my boys. I love all things Star Wars, writing, reading, and spending time outside. Third grade is my favorite grade and I cannot wait to get to know you and your students this year.
