Welcome to Language Arts at Cactus Canyon in room 218. I'm excited to have you here.

This is my 19th year working in AJUSD, and I'm confident it will be the best year yet.

A little about me: I grew up in Ventura County, California and sometimes talk like a "Valley Girl." I played a lot of soccer growing up and love to watch the World Cup. During college I had the opportunity to live in Spain for 18 months. Ever since then I've enjoyed travelling whenever I can. I have two little boys, ages 5 and 3 who love to play super heroes and LEGOs.

In language arts students will be asked to think critically about the text they read, and will develop their ability to communicate their ideas through writing and speaking. I look forward to hearing from you, and encourage you to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Absence Policy:

It's important to be in class every day! When students are absent, they have one day for each day missed to catch up on work. Assignments can be found in Google Classroom and in Absent Work section in the classroom.
