HELLO FAMILIES

My name is Mrs. Villarreal but most call me Mrs. V. I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This is my first year at Desert Vista Elementary School.

I am originally from Southern California. I lived and taught in Alaska for the last 4 years. I received my Bachelors degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton. I also received a credential in moderate/ severe special education as well as a Masters degree in Digital Teaching & Learning from Azusa Pacific University. 

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my Husband and two dogs, Snafu and Chips. In my free time I enjoy cooking, being outside, playing sports, doing projects, hanging out with friends and family, as well as taking pictures. 

My passion is teaching. I want to teach students that they can do and be anything they want to be. I want to empower them to want to learn and to take control of their learning.
