  •  Welcome to   Room 28!

Hello, Mustangs Welcome to 6th grade!

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am April Wright and have been teaching at Desert Vista for 8 years now. In that time I have taught 3rd, 5th, and now 6th grade. I graduated from the University of Phoenix  with an Associates in Health Care Management and a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education.

I have two kids. A daughter who is 22 and is a NAU graduate and a son who is 13 and is in 8th grade. I also have three Alaskan Klee Kai's whose names are Kleo, Tripp, and Bear. For those of  you who don't know what an Alaskan Klee Kai is , they are miniature huskies.

I love teaching and learning from my students. I believe that learning can be fun. In order to have a successful year , it takes all of us working as a team. Students, parents, support staff, and the classroom teacher working together as one is what will make this year the best it can be!

This year in 6th grade we will be working on being champions, both inside and outside the classroom. We will work on being great mathematicians, readers, writers, and role models.

If at anytime you have questions or concerns for me, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached on class dojo, by email at awright@goaj.org or by phone.
