Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited to be a part of the Mustang family here at Desert Vista. We have an amazing Kindergarten team and I look forward to a jam-packed year of learning and exploration.

I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma (many,many years ago). I am married with one daughter, 2 stepdaughters, and five grandchildren (with another little one on the way). I also have a huge dog named Yogi. It seems as if I'm always surrounded by children, which is why I became a teacher. My teaching experience also included running an in home daycare, homeschooling my daughter from Kindergarten through high school, substitute teaching, and volunteering with Junior Achievement. It is the combination of all of these experiences that made me love teaching Kindergarten! It is one of the most difficult, yet rewarding grades to teach.

When I'm not in my classroom, I love to knit, cook and most of all, read. It's my love of reading that I hope to impart on my students. Kindergarten will be an exciting year of growth in your child's educational and social skills. With your help, your child will have a successful and fun-filled first year of school. I look forward to getting to know all of my Kinder families.
