Cyberbullying

  • “Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place using electronic technology. Electronic technology includes devices
    and equipment such as cell phones, computers, and tablets as well as communication tools including social media, 

    text messages,chat, and websites.



    Examples of cyberbullying include:

    • mean text messages or emails

    • rumors sent by email or posted on social networking sites

    • embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or fake profiles.”



    Each school within our district has policies and procedures in place regarding bullying and cyberbullying.




    Get the conversation going with your student:

    • Why do some students feel that nothing is wrong with cyberbullying?

    • How does someone who is being cyberbullied feel?

    • What should be done if you are being cyberbullied?

    • Have you been cyberbullied? Have you been the bully?

    • What are other ways to interact with someone with whom you don’t get along?
