My Home Page
Hello and Welcome:)
Please always remember to check your child's grades online and this website for blogs from myself.
I am honored and privileged to be facilitating your child's learning. Seventh grade is an amazing year for students and teachers. When students enter room 201 we will be engaged in Science. My plan for Science is to have only classwork. Now, if a student does not complete their classwork it will then become homework.
A little information about myself. This is my 15th year in the district, nine of these years at Peralta Trail. I started my teaching in Douglas, Arizona with four years in the Middle School in Math and Science. I have completed a three year grant on STEM-- Next Generation of Leaders in Pinal County. This is all about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We will be using these areas in our learning by applying hands on lessons and project based learning. This allows the students to be actively involved in their own education. I am very excited for the upcoming year. Two summers ago I completed training at ASU with NASA and will be integrating this into the classroom. This summer I went to a Science Symposium at the Biosphere 2 for three days. I graduated from University of Texas, El Paso in 1997 and moved to Arizona. I have taken many courses in the Sciences. I have the privilege of being a mom. I have three children and they range in ability from being identified gifted to a special needs child.
I look forward to working with your child and you for it takes a community to raise a child.
