Dear Four Peaks Parents and Students,

My name is Chad Cantrell and I am the principal of Four Peaks Elementary School.  I’d like to welcome you all to FPES for the 2018 - 2019 school year. I am very excited to see all the returning faces, as well as meet the new members of our Four Peaks family.  We have many new and exciting changes as a district this coming year and we are ready to begin our school year with you!

Our school time will now be 9:10 am - 3:45 pm with the office open from 8:25 am - 4:45 pm.  As in the past, our gates will open 20 minutes before our start time at 8:50 am.  Parents, in order to ensure the safety of our students and the campus, you are required to check in at the office if you will be coming on the campus for any reason, including pickup or drop off.  In addition to our new school hours, school will begin on July 24th and end on May 23rd.  The new calendar for the 2018 - 2019 school year is available on the school and district website and will be included with this letter.

We will be holding our Four Peaks “Meet the Teacher” night on July 20th from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm.  Class lists will be posted outside the school on the 19th if you would like to check which class your student will be in before the 20th.  A class supply list will be posted as well.  You are welcome to bring your class supplies to open house or bring them the first day of school.  Please keep backpacks home until the first day of school.  In addition to meeting the teachers, there will be agencies providing information in the cafeteria including the AJUSD Transportation Department, Apache Junction Parks and Recreation, A.T. Still Dental School sealant program, Boys and Girls Club, and Project Help.

This year, you will see an increase in digital correspondence from the school.  In order to keep as up to date as possible with what is happening in the schools, we need to have a current email on file for every parent.  Please make sure we have your most current email on file.  If you don’t receive a weekly email Sunday night from the school, please make sure you update your email as soon as possible.

I want to close out by thanking you for entrusting Four Peaks Elementary and AJUSD with the education of your child.  My promise to you is that each day Four Peaks will work to be the best possible school for each and every student.  If you have any questions, our office will open July 9th.  You can reach us at 480.677.7500.  Enjoy the rest of your summer!

    Chad Cantrell, Principal
