MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Special Education Department of the Apache Junction Unified School District is to:

  • Identify the unique strengths and needs of students;
  • Provide a fair and appropriate educational environment that empowers individuals to become productive members of society; and
  • Provide assistance, guidance, educational opportunities, interagency involvement, and advocacy to students, parents, teachers and other school personnel to assure a team approach in addressing individual student needs within a least restrictive environment.
