The following positions are available for the 2008-2009 school year.

 

Those interested need to complete an application and submit it with a cover letter, 3 letters of recommendation, a copy of an Arizona Teaching Certificate and fingerprint clearance card, unofficial transcripts, and immunization records if born after 1956.

To apply in person, you may pick up an application at the District Administrative Center reception desk betweek 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those living out of town can call 1-480-982-1110 to ask that an application be sent to them.

 

 

Classified Positions:

Wages reflect starting salary range for each position.  Credit may be given for up to five years of applicable work experience.

Full time (6 hours/day +) employees are eligible for insurance coverage the 1st of the month after they begin work.  Other benefits (paid holidays, vacation and sick time) are possible upon completion of probation.

Para-Educator - Title I - Superstition Mountain Elementary School - $9.21 - $11.22 per hour (Range 6) depending on years of related experience. 7.5 hours per day. Temporary position end May 21, 2009. Works under supervision to perform any combination of following instructional tasks in classroom to assist teacher of elementary or secondary school by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Discusses assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts. Prepares various teaching aids such as bibliographies, charts, and graphs. Presents subject matter to students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion, and supervised role playing. Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts. Assist teacher with updating and maintaining accurate student records. Assists with clerical duties. Assists with testing of students as needed. Maintains inventory of Title I materials. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required in addition to an AA Degree, 60 college credits or passed Para Pro Test minimum score of 459 points.

Certified and Classified Candidates:  If you are interested in substitute teaching, please pick up a substitute teaching application packet from the District Office Reception area.  We are also accepting applications for Substitute Nurses and Substitute Special Education Aides.  Substitute teachers earn $95.00 + per day depending on length of service with this District.   Substitute aides earn $70.00 per day. Substitute RN - $127 and Substitute LPN $115 per day.

About our hiring process:
