District Goals

Long Range District Goals

• Continue to refine K-12 curricula (cognitive and affective)
• Continue to provide and improve educational experiences, programs and services that promote student success
• Provide appropriate staff development to ensure sound educational results.
• Develop a program for comprehensive technology utilization
• Develop and implement a 5 year capital improvement program

Annual District Goals

• Standards for the AJ Curriculum will be reviewed to ensure that it is aligned with the Stanford Achievement Test. Emphasis will be on articulation between various grade levels. • Educational, extracurricular, and behavioral standards will be reviewed and/or established, focusing on respect for all individuals.
• Staff development programs specific to technology and administrative and teacher evaluations will be implemented.
• A time-on-task study will be conducted at all levels to ensure proper instruction, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• A study of counseling services will be conducted to ensure that a comprehensive program is provided to address drop-out prevention, alternative educational programs and guidance.
