| Sean Mireau and Island Steele |
| Steel drums are musical instruments made from 55-gallon oil barrels that were invented in the late 1940s on the Caribbean island of Trinidad. Today, they are still made by hand by hammering and shaping the top of these barrels. The typical steel drum requires 40-50 hours of hammering to produce and there are fewer than 10 people in the U.S. who can make and tune steel drums. Don’t miss this performance and the sound that is unbelievably sweet. |
